BENLİK by Berna Narmanlı Arpacı
Closing out 2020, Berna Narmanlı Arpacı’s "BENLİK" offers a deeply introspective visual experience, exploring the construction of the self within the historic atmosphere of Çukurcuma.

Designed by architect Fahrettin Aykut and curated by Mehmet Kahraman, the show invites viewers into a dialogue through color transitions, rhythmic surfaces, and layered emotion. The works aim to evoke personal reflection, becoming a mirror for individual perception.
The artist addresses the difficulty of truly hearing one another in today's world. She suggests that authentic communication with the outside begins only when we dismantle the decorative gates and defense mechanisms we've built within ourselves. Only through this internal honesty can we engage meaningfully with others.
