İçindeyim, Büsbütün Dışında (Yazz Collective)
Elçin Ekinci’s site-specific work holds time, nature and interior distance inside Yazz Collective.
As part of a special invitation by Fahrettin Aykut and Yazz Collective, Elçin Ekinci presents “I'm Within It, Entirely Outside...”, a site-specific installation realized through a performative process on-site. This new work marks a continuation of a series the artist has been developing since 2014.
Drawing its title from the poetic lines of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar—rooted in Bergsonian notions of time the installation navigates between the cosmos of human nature, the symbolic order of civilization, and ontological representations of “time” and the “circle.”
A central layer of the exhibition is the silent dialogue between the artist’s intervention and the untouched natural elements of the space—a rock and a tree; intentionally preserved by Fahrettin Aykut during the architectural design of the venue. This deliberate non-intervention forms a holistic interplay between nature, structure, and artistic expression.
